Antidote to Indecision

Reread this.... God's antidote to indecision... :)

"He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake" Psalm 23:3

Getting Guidance from God
1.) Admit that I need a guide
"Everyone of us have strayed away like sheep! We have left God's paths to follow our own." Isa 53:6
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" Pr 14:12

2.) Ask in faith for direction
"If you want to know what God really wants you to do, ask him and he will gladly tell you, for he is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him; but..be sure that you really expect him to tell you.. If you don't ask in faith, don't expect the Lord to give you any solid answer" James 1:5-6

3.) Listen for God's response
"God does speak--sometimes one way and sometimes another-- even though people may not understand it" Job 33:14
God speaks through..the bible.. teachers..impressions.. circumstances..pain...

4.) Trust God when I don't understand
"Your road led by a pathway through the sea-- a pathway no one knew was there!!" Ps 77:19
"Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all you ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Pr 3:5-6
"The steps of a man are established by the Lord.. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong because the Lord is the one who holds his hand" Ps 37:23-24

Ps 77:19 reminds me of the great story during the time of Moses... :)

An example of this is from the Old Testament when the children of Israel were finally set free from Egypt after 400 years of slavery. Moses had gone to Pharaoh and said, "Let my people go" and Pharaoh said he'd had enough, get out. They leave. The whole nation starts marching out to freedom and the first thing they come to is the Red Sea. On one side of them is a mountain range that is uncrossable. On the other side is another mountain range that is uncrossable. In front of them is an ocean. Behind them, in hot pursuit, is the Egyptian army that has changed its mind and decided to come and slaughter them all. What is God going to do now? The path looks like a dead end. But God knew exactly what He wanted to do. He was preparing them for a miracle. He was preparing them for deliverance. He had not made a mistake because He could see what they could not see. He opened the Red Sea and they walked through.
A hope of direction..
A hope for decision..
A hope for miracle. :)
