What is Marriage?

Having some late night chat with a friend of mine and she has commented on marriage..

"if not ngam, then divorce lar".

I am starting to wonder, with the increasing of divorce rate in the society, has Marriage already lost its original meaning?

I remembered Pastor Isaac taught about Marriage= becoming 1 flesh. (not only in terms of physical, but "something" happen which bound the 2 person together.)

(Genesis 2:21-24) “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”

It breaks my heart when i heard of people saying that they wanted to divorce.
Perhaps, i am not in the position to say anything, but i really hope that, both will reconsider the commitment that they have made towards each other in the beginning of their marriage.

And for those that single, life partner is an important decision in life. Pray and seek counsel if needed. :)

You do sound like an energetic young lady. Very expressive indeed.

Well, of course nobody would like to go through the pain of separations if given a chance. Things change, people change.

Sometimes we just have to make a choice of either breaking commitments or living a miserable life.

I'm a divorced women myself and I am glad that I made that decision after years of suffering and deprivation.

Have a wonderful life ahead young lady.
